SuperVillain Inspiration – Black Adam
With the Shazam and Black Adam solo movies on the horizon, I thought that this would be the perfect time to dig into some lessons learned from the characters.
Now I understand that most see Black Adam as a villain, however, he didn’t start out that way and sometimes he even attempts to do good, although that’s really stretching it. Either way, there are still some good quality lessons that we can learn from him on our road to success.
SuperVillain Inspiration – Lesson 1: Determination
Although his mindset was a little misguided, healthy determination in working towards our goals is a must. In order to be a success, one must be determined to complete their tasks to reach their desired outcomes.
This is why villains keep coming back for more even though the heroes always foil their plans.
SuperVillain Inspiration – Lesson 2: Have A Vision or Purpose
One must always have a vision for what you want. In the case of Black Adam, it may have been world domination, protecting his country, or the ultimate Kingship, but you have to give the man credit for having the vision.
In essence, one can take a huge lesson from this. Although villains and antiheroes may be a little unwise in their pursuits, it’s the vision that keeps them going.
SuperVillain Inspiration – Lesson 3: Have an Extreme Obsession to Reach that Vision
It’s by having an extreme and sometimes unhealthy obsession to achieve this vision that we have that will keep a person going.
In all honesty, if your vision doesn’t hit you emotionally then it’s easy for you to quit. To become truly successful you have to feel yourself achieving the vision. You have to see yourself living in the era of your greatness.
It’s because of this uncanny obsession that many villains and even some heroes refuse to give up.
The truly successful spend time visualizing and meditating on their vision. They think about it daily and take actions daily to achieve it.
By having an uncommon level of obsession with the vision, one begins to be molded into the being that is necessary to make the vision a reality even if it’s only for an instant.
The key is to have moral and pure intentions as that’s when the vision will last. (This explains why lots of villains can actually succeed with their plans, but then it all crumbles soon after.)
