Greetings to all! Below is the lyric video for one of my songs "Burning Bridges" off the "Rise of a King" deluxe album. This song was written during a time in my life where I was losing friends while in pursuit of my dreams. The most major thing that I learned during this time is that although I lost many friends, I also gained a lot of new ones because I was beginning to find people who shared the same ideas that I had.
During this time in my life, I really struggled with how people perceived me and what they thought of me. There would be many times I would meet with people to share my ideas and they would immediately negate all that I said. A lot of times these people were my closest friends and even family members. This was such a strain on me mentally that at one point, I thought that something may be wrong with me. It took me a while to realize that my hopes and dreams were literally just that. These were my thoughts and feelings and I had to go through that experience to understand that these are my ideas and I should own them.
As time went on, I began to invest in myself and network in order to move forward and progress towards my goals. In doing so, I began to attract other people to me. These people that I began to attract shared some of the same feelings and ideas that my friends would turn down. In the end, I learned that my friends honestly did not mean any harm; they just could not see or understand things the way I could.
