What’s up everyone?! I know I’m a little late to the party, but I recently watched Akame Ga Kill, and I’m completely amazed at how good of an anime it was!
I was glad that it was a one shot anime because I was able to finish it and add it to my 100+ completed list anime, but man I hope there is another season or a sequel coming at some point.
Aside from the awesomeness of the action and the art style, there were definitely a few things that I learned while watching.
Anime Motivation – Your Life is On the Line Everyday
Believe it or not, when we are working to achieve or dreams or reach our goal, we must understand that our life is on the line every day.
Now this may not be obvious, but at any moment we could potentially die. There are things in this world that we have no control of and we simply must go with the flow.
With that in mind, I’ve always operated as if there is a timer over my head that counts down to the end.
Now we have no idea when this end may come or what form it may come in.
Any day we could have a health issue, fatal accident, abnormal occurrence, or someone that tries to take our life from us so we must give our all to achieving our greatness as we never know which breath will be our last.
This was evident in the anime as a lot of the characters that I began to get attached to ended up dying within the next 1 to 3 episodes.
Anime Motivation – On Our Journey We May Lose Comrades
In the case of this anime, losing a comrade came in the form of someone dying or someone switching sides.
Now this is actually evident in our daily lives, but more-so in others not seeing eye to eye with us or switching their allegiance from us to someone or something else that we may or may not disagree with.
Now this is sad, but there have been a few cases in my life where I’ve had to cut certain people off because they did not have my best interest in mind.
In other cases, these people began to create toxic environments for me and became a hindrance to my psyche and my spirit.
The fact that I see myself as a hero and I do my best to avoid negative energy and people that don’t complement me, I’ve had to let them go.
Always evaluate and re-evaluate the people that you allow to get close to you. They don’t always have your best interest at heart.
Anime Motivation – Sometimes Your Own Family Will Want to Kill You
Now this one really hit home in a way because in the series both Akame and her sister loved each other, but they felt betrayed by each other because they were on opposing sides.
In real life this happens all the time. Now in most cases, your family won’t try to kill you physically, but they may try to kill you mentally, psychologically, spiritually, and emotionally.
When you get that vibe or feeling from them, take my advice and distance yourself as much as possible!
You may love them and they may love you, but sometimes it’s best to love others from a distance no matter who they are.
Always remember your purpose and why you live the way that you do. If other people (including your family) cannot accept this, then its best for you to keep focus and distance yourself.
Always remember that once you’re dead there is no fixing things and people don’t resurrect on a daily basis so once you’re dead (no matter physically, mentally, spiritually, etc…) it’s almost impossible to come back from that.
Hopefully, my thoughts and the lessons I’ve learned have shed some light for you in your journey to greatness!
