As a young child I was always told that if I work hard then I’m guaranteed to succeed in whatever I do.
However, as I’ve grown older, I’ve learned that this advice is only half true.
Hustle Snapshot – Quick Advice: Work Hard, But Be Smart About It
As I’ve lived my live and dealt with various experiences, there have been plenty of times where I’ve worked my butt off just to lose out to another person in the end.
I would often ask myself “how come they succeeded and got the opportunity, but I didn’t?”
After a while, I stopped complaining and began to seek out an answer.
While doing this, I learned that it takes more than hard work to be successful, you have to be smart about how you do things as well.
In figuring this out, I learned that I have to plan efficiently, invest intently, and build a quality network of people that I can trust and rely on.
Once I figured these things out, more doors began to open for me and my level of success began to increase.
Although we may think that we are awesome (and believe me, we totally are), there’s always someone that can help us be more awesome and in some cases, we can do the same for others.
In essence, don’t kill yourself working hard in vain. Instead, be smart about it and succeed gracefully.
