So before I even get into this, “No, I am not a Pro Wrestler!”
However, I am a huge wrestling fan and I often study the lives and the decisions of my favorite wrestlers.
Now there are quite a few wrestlers that I like, but aside from getting extremely excited when they win a title or execute a finishing move, I like to delve into their psyche and work ethic a bit.
Success Tips – Travel And Hone Your Skills
While watching wrestling, I had a huge fascination with stars like the Rock, Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.
But it wasn’t until the emergence of CM Punk, Jay Lethal, Kurt Angle, R-Truth, and guys like Davie Richards that I became fascinated with what made these guys into World Champions.
For the most part, before getting major stardom, these were guys were pretty much indie for the majority of their careers and they really had to bust their butts to get where they are.
I learned that a lot of these guys wrestled in Japan and England in order to gain experience, hone their skills, and build notoriety.
Because of this, I decided to apply the same concept to my career so while I was in the military, I was blessed enough to be stationed in both Japan and the United Kingdom.
During this time, I really hustled. This was when I first started learning about Business and seriously working to hone my skills as an artist and entertainer.
I met some really great people during this time and we really rocked the house in certain areas.
Success Tips – Work Hard While Branding Yourself
Now when you hear the names of certain wrestlers, certain images and words generally come to mind. This is because of effective branding.
Whenever I hear the name Jerry Lawler, I automatically think “King” or royalty.
Whenever I hear Brock Lesnar, I think of an “Invincible Beast” thanks to Paul Heyman.
So as an artist, taking the idea of branding into account, I worked hard on my craft while creating a story around my brand and molding the perception of how I wanted to be seen in the eyes of my viewers.
With a focus on training and understanding the rules of personal branding, I was able to move forward with my vision of the Starving for Greatness (S4G) mindset.
