To say this was a big moment for me would be an understatement, but let’s just say it was!
So when I was in the military, I used to live in Okinawa and I would take my yearly expedition to Tokyo, but after I moved, that was no longer the case.
However, after returned back to the US and the Asian region after leaving the UK, I am now in a position to return to Tokyo as often as needed once again!
Travel Life Snapshot – Japan: Return to Tokyo
So this trip felt more like a homecoming for me as I had been away so long.
However, after returning, I was just as excited as I was when I was last here. Some of the great things I got to do included, re-visiting the Hachiko stature and hanging out in cool spots around Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, and O’Daiba.
It was wild coming back to O’Daiba as when I was last here, the RX-78 Gundam stood outside of Diver City, but nowadays, the Gundam Unicorn stands guard.
A lot of the scenery remained similar, but the travel vibes I get each time I return are always different.
Overall this was a great experience as usual and of course, I plan to be back again more frequently.
With this new Travel Life series, I plan to write and publish more blogs and Vlogs each time I take a significant trip as a way to kind of chronicle my adventures.
I mean, how can I be a “Hip Hop Traveler”, if I’m not living a music and travel based lifestyle?
